Aspen fully supports thePublic Administration pillar of the Canadian Health act and with this aspect in place has placed supreme focus on the other pillars, namely Accessibility, Universality, Comprehensiveness and Portability. Efficiency by Design seeks to provide medical care as contemplated within the Act itself.

​Efficiency by Design requires that base assumptions of care be turned on their head. A system (1) anticipates demand, (2) diverts patient flow and (3) rapidly adjusts capacity in the vision for the “Greenfield Prototype”. 

 

Flow Variance:

Variance drivers such as seasonal weather conditions, staff availability, population expansion / contraction and latent demand consistently shock the system.

Manageable Capacity:

Existing infrastructure was designed to manage roughly 20% less capacity than currently required to do. The demand is forecasted to increase.
