Efficiency by Design

5 Pillars of Care Rethink

Efficiency by Design requires that base assumptions of care be turned on their head. A system (1) anticipates demand, (2) diverts patient flow and (3) rapidly adjusts capacity in the vision for the “Greenfield Prototype”.

Flow Variance:

Variance drivers such as seasonal weather conditions, staff availability, population expansion / contraction and latent demand consistently shock the system.

Manageable Capacity:

Existing infrastructure was designed to manage roughly 20% less capacity than currently required to do. The demand is forecasted to increase.
